SSO is an authentication mechanism which is widely used by different vendors to authenticate users. It can save users from logging in to different systems, entering a user name and a password each time. Furthermore, it gives users the ability to access multiple applications with one set of login credentials. At the center of the authentication process is the identity provider which can be LDAP, among many. The IdP or identity provider is used to authenticate the user.
This is a reference implementation that can serve as a starting point for SSO on Guidewire applications where the IdP is ClaimCenter.
